|| Where pristine beaches, worldclass service and the majestic Le morne mountain create a destination unlike any other ||
Mauritius feels like a dream carved by the ocean, turquoise lagoons, volcanic peaks, and beaches brushed by warm trade winds. On the peninsula of Le Morne, where mountain meets lagoon and the horizon feels endless, sits a place where island soul and timeless elegance live in harmony.

The concept
Designed like a grand oceanfront residence, the resort blends colonial-inspired charm with modern refinement. Suites open to swaying palms, soft sea light, and views that shift with the rhythm of the waves. Here, mornings begin with silence and sunlight, and evenings unfold beneath glowing skies that fade into shades of amber and blush. The service is discreet and thoughtful, but never rushed and always personal with the signature St. Regis Butler bringing a touch of heritage to island living. Between the stillness of sunrise and the energy of the afternoon winds, this coastline becomes a playground for ocean lovers and kitesurfers, while quieter moments call you to candlelit dinners, fragrant tropical gardens, and slow strolls along powder-soft sand. Luxury is not simply seen, it’s felt in the ease of each day, in the warmth of Mauritian hospitality, and in the quiet beauty of a place where nature does the storytelling. A stay here isn’t just a holiday, it’s a memory that lingers like salt on sunkissed skin and the sound of waves long after you’ve returned home.
The rooms
Our stay in the Junior Suite King at St. Regis Le Morne offered the perfect balance of comfort, space, and understated elegance. The room feels airy and refined, with soft neutral tones, natural textures, and subtle colonial-inspired details that nod to the island’s heritage. The king bed is incredibly comfortable, with crisp linens and pillows that make early nights feel tempting, especially after a full day in the sun. The marble bathroom is spacious, featuring a deep bathtub, walk-in shower, and high-quality amenities that make getting ready (or unwinding) feel effortless. What we loved most is the indoor-outdoor flow. Large doors open onto a private terrace framed by palm trees and garden views, creating a calm space to enjoy morning coffee or a quiet evening before dinner. It’s peaceful, quiet, and feels connected to the resort’s natural surroundings. Service is attentive without being intrusive, from helpful butlers to thoughtful touches like fresh water and daily room refreshes. Overall, the Junior Suite King offers a stylish and relaxing base to enjoy the beauty of Le Morne, with the comfort and privacy you expect from the St. Regis. Although our room was very close to the beach (only a few seconds away) we were a walk away from the restaurants and main lobby area. Therefore, we called for a buggy most of the time

The Culinary experiences
Dining at St. Regis Le Morne feels like traveling through flavors from Mauritian spices to Mediterranean coastlines and Asian classics, all set against one of the most breathtaking beachfront backdrops in Mauritius. Each restaurant has its own personality, atmosphere, and culinary approach, making every meal a moment to look forward to. Below is our experience across each of the resort’s dining venues.
Le Manoir Dining Room: A refined start to every day, Le Manoir is where mornings begin. Breakfast here blends international favorites with Mauritian touches. Think tropical fruit, flaky pastries, made-to-order eggs, and local specialties like dholl puri and spiced chutneys. The space feels calm and elegant, with indoor and outdoor seating surrounded by greenery and soft ocean air. At dinner, the menu leans French-Mauritian, with beautifully plated dishes and warm, attentive service. It’s a great place to start your culinary journey at the resort, and perfect for a relaxed, high-quality meal without leaving the heart of the hotel. We have experienced an excellent Mauritian buffet here, where the atmosphere of the buffet was still so serene.
The Boathouse Beach Grill: The Boathouse is the restaurant you’ll naturally be drawn to, because it is right on the beach, framed by palms and ocean breeze. The menu focuses on fresh seafood and Mediterranean flavors, grilled meats, and light coastal dishes. We absolutely loved their freshly made bread and variety of dips, such as freshly made tzatziki, green and red olive dip and more.
Indya: Indya brings a fresh, modern twist to Indian cuisine. Expect vibrant spices, rich sauces, and creative presentation is comforting yet elevated. From tandoori grills to beautifully balanced curries, dishes feel thoughtful and generous without being heavy. We both liked their butter chicken as it was super soft. We tried the pani puri shots, but they were a bit too strong for us when it comes to the tastes of the shots. The atmosphere is stylish yet inviting, making it an ideal choice for a flavorful evening.
Atsuko: Atsuko is where Japanese elegance meets Mauritian hospitality. Sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, everything is prepared with precision and attention to detail. If you enjoy a culinary experience where the chef cooks right in front of you, book the teppanyaki table, it’s an interactive, memorable dinner and perfect for a special evening. We highly recommend booking this. This is one of the standout dining moments at St. Regis, especially for guests who love clean flavors and a refined atmosphere.
Floating Market: a serene setting Floating Market offers a mix of Southeast Asian dishes, such as Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian influences served in a calming, contemporary space. Expect fragrant broths, coconut-based curries and wok-fried dishes. It’s a lovely change of pace and a great option if you’re in the mood for something aromatic and flavorful. Unfortunately, we did not have enough evenings to try the food here. La Patisserie: La Patisserie is perfect for an afternoon treat or a coffee break, La Patisserie serves French style pastries, cakes, and light bites. Stop by after a morning at the beach or spa, an iced coffee and delicate pastry here is the ideal mid day reset. For something special, book the afternoon tea, which is a relaxed and elegant nod to the St. Regis tradition.
Here are our final thoughts, the culinary experience at St. Regis Le Morne feels thoughtfully curated. Each restaurant offering its own world, mood, and menu. Whether you're watching the sunset at The Boathouse, savoring spices at Indya, or starting your morning slowly at Le Manoir, the dining here adds richness and rhythm to your stay. If you enjoy variety, refined flavors, excellent service and meaningful experiences around food, St. Regis Le Morne delivers beautifully plate after plate, view after view.
